Blog - Talking with Jesus |
![]() During the week before Easter I think of Jesus' last time with His disciples. He washed their feet and wiped them with a towel. Then he sat down with them at a table and shared bread and wine. He took the cup, gave thanks, and said, "This is my body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of me." Likewise, He also took the cup and said, "This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you" (Luke 22:20). Think About It Before Jesus faced His betrayer, or the scattering of His friends, He said these things to the twelve. In today's terms, I think He said, "Don't forget me. Don't forget why I came. Don't forget to love each other. Don't forget to tell others what God has done." Let us not forget how much God loves us this Easter. Pray About It Thank you, Lord Jesus, for taking our shame to the cross so we would not die in our sin. Thank you for overcoming death so we could have life forever with you. Amen.
